The Chrome OS keyboard differs from a Windows and Mac keyboard in many ways:
1) No Windows / Command key
Instead of a "Windows" or "Command" key, there is a "Search Key" on the left side of the Chrome keyboard above the SHIFT key. The search key opens the Chrome app launcher. A Google search can be conducted by hitting the search key and typing your search criteria right in, or by saying "Ok, Google" and verbally stating your search terms.
2) No "F" keys
Windows and Mac keyboards have a row of keys numbering from F1 - F12.
The Chrome keyboard does not have these keys but instead has back, forward, refresh and full screen keys for when browsing the internet, a "multi-window" key to view all of your open apps and windows, keys to adjust the brightness of the screen, and three volume keys (mute, volume down, volume up).
In the very top right corner is the power button, which is a key, unlike on a Windows or Mac laptop.
3) No CAPS Lock key
You'll also notice that there is no CAPS Lock key on the Chrome keyboard. The Search key is where the CAPS lock key would normally be on a Windows keyboard. Alt+Search turns on CAPS Lock in Chrome OS.
4) Bigger Ctrl and Alt keys on the left side
Since there is no Windows or Command key on the bottom row of the keyboard, the Ctrl and Alt keys on the left side are larger.
