1) Plug your Chromecast into one of the TV's HDMI ports
(NOTE: Chromecasts will NOT work with an older tube-style TV)
2) Plug the small end of the power cord that came with the Chromecast into the Chromecast
3) Plug the larger end of the power cord into the USB port on your TV. Alternatively you can plug it into the wall adapter and plug the wall adapter into a wall outlet.
4) Download the Chromecast app on your Android or iPhone if you haven’t already done so.
5) Connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network.
6) In the Chromecast app, go to “Devices” in the menu and select the Chromecast to connect to it.
7) If the Wi-Fi network is not password protected, your Chromecast should connect. If it is password protected, enter the password and your Chromecast will connect.
NOTE: Some public Wi-Fi networks, such as many of those in hotels, are not password protected but require you to enter an access code in a browser page to be able to access the internet. THESE TYPES OF NETWORKS DO NOT WORK WITH CHROMECASTS.
